Alyssa likes to dress up. She likes pink. Backpack, hat, and dresses. Wings and shoes are great too.

アリッサはおしゃれが大好き。ピンクも大好き。リュックサック、帽子、ドレス、羽、靴なんか最高。
Alyssa especially likes Annika's stuff. This is Annika's backpack that she is going to take to the "big school." Alyssa envy a little about Annika going on a yellow school bus and take a big backpack to the school.

アリッサは特にアニカのものが大好き。これはアニカが「大きい学校」に持っていくかばん。アリッサはアニカが黄色いスクールバスにのって大きなかばんをもって学校に行くのがちょっとうらやましい。

The Ryan Bagley Family!

Ryan, Peyton and Brandon came and visit us! It was a great fun! Annika and Alyssa just loved being with them and enjoy playing with them every day. They have experienced Indiana summer storm and tornado warning. It was nothing to us, but it seems a little culture shock for Payton.

ライアン、ペイトン、ブランドンがあそびにきました。楽しかった！アニカとアリッサは一緒に毎日遊べてうれしかったようです。インディアナ名物の夏の嵐や竜巻警報を経験。私たちにとっては何でもないことでもペイトンにはちょっとカルチャーショックだったようです。

Christian Bible Camp

There are many churches offer bible camp during summer. It is usually one week and they learn about general bible stories and concepts by singing, making crafts and doing some special activities for a week. Then, on Friday night, the last night of the bible camp, children will have a special program to show the parents songs that they have learned and have a big party outside. Bible camp is free with a small donation. Annika had a great fun. She still remembers songs and dance she learned.

ここでは夏になるとたくさんの教会がバイブルキャンプを催します。ほとんどの場合１週間で一般的な聖書のお話や考え方を歌や工作やその他の活動によって一週間教えるのです。そして最後の日、金曜日になると習った歌の発表会。外ではパーティが催されます。バイブルキャンプは少額の寄付金のみで行われます。アニカはとっても楽しかったようで今でも習った歌やお遊戯を覚えています。

Strawberry Picking

Annika and Alyssa LOVES strawberry! We went to Spencer's Farm in Noblesville to pick berries. This is one of our favorite family activity!

アニカとアリッサはイチゴが大好き。ノーブルズビルにあるスペンサー農場でイチゴ狩りをしました。イチゴ狩りは大好きな家族でできる活動です。

We visited Curt's sister and her family in Las Vegas. It was a great opportunity for Annika and Alyssa to meet with their cousins and attend Ashley's baptism. It was so nice to stay in the vacation home with Grandma. Although kids got sick with fever, for a couple of days, it was nice visit with family.

カートの妹とその家族に会いにラスベガスにいきました。アニカとアリッサのいとこたちに会い、アシュリーのバプテスマに出席することができました。おばあちゃんと一緒にバケーションホームで快適にすごしました。子供たちは熱を出して２日程具合が悪くなりましたが、家族に会ってよい時間をすごせました。

We found a frog in our yard.

Both Annika and Alyssa are very social. They love to play with friends. Recently, many of their close friends have moved away. That has been difficult especially for Annika. Now she is asking if we are going to move away too. She said she wants to move to Holiday World (theme park.)

アニカもアリッサもとても社交的。お友達と遊ぶのが大好き。最近になって親しい友達がどんどん引越ししていきました。特にアニカが寂しい思いをしてます。今度は私たちも引越しするのかと聞いてきます。ホリデーワールド（テーマパーク）に引越ししたいそうです。

Easter Weekend #2 復活祭の週末 No. 2

Annika dyed Easter eggs first time. Amanda told us that it is less messy to dye the eggs if we use a whisk. It worked out great. There were no stained clothes or hands.

アニカは初めて復活祭の卵の色づけをしました。アマンダから泡だて器にゆで卵を入れて食紅水に入れると汚れないと聞いたので試してみたらうまくいきました。洋服も手も汚れなかったよ。Enjoy egg hunting, girls! 卵探しがんばってね。

Alyssa found a couple....アリッサは２こ見つけました・・・。
But she got distracted quickly....でもすぐに気が散ってしまい・・・。

So Annika got all the eggs (candy inside.)

そのためアニカが全部の卵（中にお菓子が入っている。）をとりました。

Easter Weekend #1 復活祭の週末 No. 1

Fun and yummy dinner at Melissa & PJ's. We were invited for their Weber Grill's "Christening" dinner. Randy showed us how NOT to juggle raw chicken on a plate. It was funny...

Annika and Curt went with a friend, Gary to ride ATVs. Annika loves cars.



Annika and Curt had great time. Annika got so tired that she went to bed at 7pm.....

Annika and Alyssa's Grandpa, Jiiji sends packages for us time to time. Jiiji picked up cute Sunday dresses for them. Sy took pictures right before going to church. You have a good taste. Thank you, Jiiji. We appreciate everything you do for us!

アニカとアリッサのじいじは時々小包を送ってくれます。じいじが日曜日の教会に行くときのドレスを送ってくれました。誠子が教会に行く直前に写真をとりました。じいじ、センスがいいね。ありがとう。いつも私たちのためにいろいろしてくれて感謝してます。

Although the sleeves are a little long, she will grow into it very soon. Annika looks good in this.
ちょっと袖が長いけどすぐに大きくなってちょうどよくなるよ。なかなか似合ってるでしょ。

Spring is here! 春が来た！

Sign of spring is here in my front yard. Annika and Sy planted Crocus bulbs last fall. We planted the place that is visible from the den.

前庭で春のしるしを見ました。アニカと誠子が去年の秋にクロッカスの球根を植えました。書斎からも見えるところに植えました。

Make UP! お化粧しちゃった！

Annika locks herself in our bathroom after bath time and get into my make up. I have to clean her all over again.....

アニカはお風呂の後に私たちのバスルームに入って鍵をかけ、お化粧道具でいたずらします。だからまた洗わなきゃ・・・・。
Alyssa likes to wash hands with soap while Annika is into make up.
